We are Jacobi
We are a young, motivated team with very different backgrounds—from the restaurant industry and beyond. Under the leadership of Christoph Kaiser, we came together in 2022 to launch the Jacobi project.
What connects us? A love of gastronomy—and our region. South Baden has it all: beautiful landscapes, plenty of sunshine and, above all, an impressive variety of farms and producers. This is exactly what we want to incorporate into our cuisine and let you taste and experience during your visit.
Our partners work with great respect for nature and the environment and supply us with products that speak for themselves. Our kitchen team—Cedrik, Stephan, Denis, Yasmina, and Christoph—adds the finishing touches to these ingredients. In the dining room, Sebastian and Leon make sure you feel at home from the moment you arrive—from the welcome to the perfect wine selection.
A special highlight: through the large kitchen window, you can watch us at work—real, lively gastronomy to experience firsthand.

Our Wine List
In addition to classics, you will also find many wines from young, up-and-coming winegrowers and small wineries. We offer drinks to accompany our menu as well as non-alcoholic alternatives.

Information About Your Visit
Reservations for the restaurant are only possible up to 3 months in advance. Online bookings are possible for up to 6 people, inquiries for larger groups can be made by email to restaurant@jacobi-freiburg.de.
To enjoy our full tasting menu, allow approximately 3.5 hours. If you need to leave at a certain time, please let us know in advance, but no later than the start of the menu.
Children are very welcome here. To be able to spoil the little ones just as much as the grown-ups, please let us know when you make your reservation whether you are bringing your children with you. In addition to individual dishes, we are happy to offer a children’s menu in three to four courses if ordered in advance.
We like dogs! As long as neither our service nor the other guests are disturbed, four-legged friends are welcome. Please let us know in advance so that we can guarantee a suitable, nice place. We look forward to seeing you.

The MICHELIN 2024 Guide lists our Restaurant Jacobi with a red star for high-quality cuisine that is well worth a visit. With the green star, the MICHELIN Guide recognizes our commitment to sustainable gastronomy. You can find more information here.
